Abstract:

This paper deals with major reasons behind migration of distance learners from one region to another, and from one place to another. The author analysed the issue from two perspectives: i) distance learners, and ii) distance institutions. The main objectives of the study were to analyse the reasons for change of addresdstudy centres/regional centres/country and to suggest strategies to handle various migration with the help of web, multiple requirements beiter and other strategies. The paper focussed on the flexibility provided by the institution i.e. IGNOU to facilitate the process of migration of distance learners and continue their studies.
