This paper discusses the relevance of Communication and Information Technologies (CITs) to Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Nigeria. It starts by discussing the meaning of Communication and Information Technology and Open and Distance Learning, and emergence of Open and Distance Education (ODE) in Nigeria. It also discusses the prospect of CIT and ODL in Nigeria. Furthermore, the paper highlights some CIT available for ODL as well as the weaknesses of these technologies.
