R. Ambedkar Open University has been regularly telecasting lessons and interactive live teleconference programmes through Doordarshan (television channel of the Government of India) and Mana N channels since November, 1999. This paper, based on an empirical study, reports the utility of teleconference and telecasting of lessons and their impact on the learning of courses by the MBA students. This paper also identifies the limitations of the use of these media, and provides suggestions to improve the efficacy and utiliw of these technology mediated strategies in the process of learning.
