Open and Distance Learning (ODL) is a new concept of education picking up very fast. It is no more regarded as an alternative system of education. The learners study on part time basis, whenever they like and wherever they like. Advances in information technology are a boon to the learners of ODL. Learning from their own place is made possible by online facilities. Interactive radio phone-in programme is one such facility. This facility is provided by the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University to itslearners, and is spread through out the nook and corner of the state of Andhra Pradesh in India since April 2000. This paper is based on the data collected for three years - 2002,2003 and 2004. The objective of the paper is to assess the utility and accessibility of the programme and to make suggestions for improving its quality, utility and accessibility to larger number of learners.
