Study on the Use of Smartphone During the Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The present study attempted to examine the academic use of smartphone by college students during the pandemic. The study also highlights the problems faced by the students in assessing their smartphone during the pandemic. To collect data from the college students, the investigators used a Google form. The study consisted of 120 college going students (55 males and 65 females) of provincialised colleges of Guwahati city, India. The findings of the study reveal that the college students used their smartphone for various academic purposes. Majority of the students used it to attend online classes and also to write and upload their answer scripts. They also accessed elearning platforms, and e-books via the smartphone. The study also revealed the problems faced by the students in accessing their Smartphone during the pandemic.
