Abstract

One of the major responsibilities of the Staff Training and Research Institute of Distance Education (STRIDE) is to be a resource center in the field of open and
distance learning. STRIDE has been conducting capacity building activities/training programmes not only for the teaching and non-teaching staff of IGNOU but for other Distance Education Institutions (DEIs), Directorate of Distance Education and State Open Universities (SOUs) too. Therefore, STRIDE has been organising
orientation programmes/workshops on various aspects related to the ODL system, financial and administrative issues (for the non-teaching staff of IGNOU) separately and, in collaboration with other Schools and Divisions of the University
