Abstract

The Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system has a marked potential to address the various challenges faced by higher education systems in different countries in the world in general and developing countries in particular. While ODL has huge capabilities on one hand but on the other hand there are also many issues, problems and complexities related to its overall functioning. Keeping this in view, the present issue of the journal has focused on a few important concerns encountered by ODL institutions. This issue has three articles, one book review, and six workshop/seminar reports.
