Abstract

The digital age has transformed the human life in an unprecedented way. The digital penetration in education also is a well-accepted phenomenon now. In daily routine, perhaps no one would imagine a fulfilling life without the intervention of digital devices. We have become so oblivious to the intervention of electronic devices in all our personal and social activities on daily basis that their presence goes unnoticed at times save on interruption or their breakdown. However, till recently, use of the handheld devices by the students was not considered advisable in spite of their extensive use in all other walks of life. To some, there may be a genuine concern of accessibility of such devices also. Therefore, while maintaining the importance of technology in education, we should not lose track of the learners by keeping them in focus. I am happy to note that this is what is the central idea of the volume, edited by Tutaleni Asino.
