The aim of this paper is to explore and compare various distance education methodologies with respect to ICT used in the selected Indian business schools. This research is based on a study of the perception of two very important stakeholders – the students and the employers, towards factors such as ease of use, satisfaction, effectiveness, and employability, for an analysis of the best practices through which distance education is imparted. The results indicate that students found recorded and online lectures to be the easiest, in terms of use, while personal contact programmes to be the most satisfying. Overall, virtual classroom and personal contact programmes were given the highest rank. The related implications for distance education management institutions were also discussed in the paper.
