After the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, continuous lockdowns, and closure of educational institutions, millions of students were out of classes. In response, online education was the response. This research attempts to study the impact of online teaching and training in the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir and examines the importance of the traditional teaching-learning process in the education system. Most preferred conventional or traditional classes over online classes. This also means that even if distance education and open learning is based on ICT, but their traditional approach of combining with F2F interaction has been a reason for their success.
