सार

The present study aimed to assess the students' learning and coping style amidst the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. The study included 120 participants (male=53; female=67) to carry out the research. Two learning styles (online learning & self-learning) and three coping styles (talking to a friend, spending time with family, & using social media/mobile/video streaming platforms) were taken into account to achieve the objectives. Obtained results of the study found no significant difference in adoption of learning style, t(118) =. 610, p>.05; and no significant difference in adoption of coping styles, t(118) =. 615, p>.05, with respect to gender as an independent variable. The results also concluded that the participants chose to spend time with their family and to use social media/mobile/video streaming platforms (as a coping style) over talking to a friend (as a coping style) to avoid mental stress during the lockdown. The study interestingly revealed the increased inclination towards self-learning over online learning during the lockdown, which was rarely seen before the lockdown period.
