This study investigated challenges learners at the College of Distance Education (CoDE), University of Cape Coast (UCC) in Ghana faced in the course of the programme. In all, 248 respondents (final year education learners in two regions of Greater Accra and Volta Regions) in the Southern Zone were randomly selected. A questionnaire was used to collect data from the research respondents. The data was analysed using mean, standard deviation and independent sample ttest. Analysis of the results showed that CoDE learners faced challenges in the area of finance, job-related demand, attending social events such as wedding, funerals, and parties. The study further showed that social media, attending social events, job related issues wasted learners’ study time. Based on the findings, it is recommended that management of CoDE expands the existing scholarship scheme to benefit more learners in order to alleviate their financial challenges. Moreover, it is recommended that CoDE management stress on time management during orientation programme for freshers.
