Abstract

Laboratory is an essential component of science instruction. Because of the Internet’s accessibility, virtual laboratories are now possible. IGNOU, the mega university in India, offered a distancelearning B.Sc. programme in 1990-91. This research looks at ways to implement a virtual physics laboratory while staying within Covid19’s restrictions. We also looked at the existing situation to gain a complete picture of the problem. According to our findings, B.Sc. students have the skills and ability to use simulations and demonstrations as learning tools, and that employing a virtual laboratory will likely enhance their learning experiences and performance. This article also discusses students’ preferences for scientific kits as well as virtual laboratories. In order to provide B.Sc students with a hassle-free, high-quality hands-on experience, a composite strategy based on real and virtual laboratory experiences is suggested based on learner preferences.
