Abstract

The pandemic has proved to be a game changer, catalyst and propeller for accepting and coping with the ‘new normal’ in all walks of human life including healthcare, manufacturing, service sector and education, among others. The leapfrog taken by the field of education in embracing digital online and blended learning has been phenomenal. An epoch-making change is visible not only in the availability and utilisation of the digital resources but in the mindset of the people as well. It has withered all the reservations maintained by the conventional education system in embracing ICT wholeheartedly. In order to come up to the situation and manage all the available new digital resources, it is necessary to focus on the preparedness and effective use of these resources without losing track of what we already have in terms of collective understanding and knowledge.

If all the above is taken for granted, it immediately comes to one’s mind as to what, why and how much of technology use is optimal. It is quite obvious to re-imagine the similar efficiency and effectiveness of learning in the digital world.
